1891 - 1962

Al Saal was very active in forming the I.B.M., severed as Vice President, and active in what was then Ring 7 in Toledo. He was mentioned often in Linking Rings: William W. Durbin and the Magic and Mystery of America by James D. Robenalt.

He was featured on the cover of the June, 1933 issue of The Linking Ring.


He was the first person (according to The Linking Ring article) to manipulate fulllength, lighted cigarettes.

(Toledo, Ohio: 6 May 1891- ) Learned magic at age 15 by buying tricks thru Roterberg's catalog. Debut at age 18. Pro sleight-of-hand (specializing in cigarette manipulation), shadowist, & ventriloquist. Claimed invention of producing multiple lit cigarettes (“The Man With The Lights”).
